8/19/2023 0 Comments Epic water park prices![]() Inside Swimming Pool – I never found a great spot to swim inside Great Wolf Lodge although there is an area you can sort of swim. In addition, there were inside mat slides. Inside Slides – I haven’t really stacked up the slides side by side but I’m pretty sure that Epic Waters has far more *inside* water slide options than Great Wolf including their loop slide where the floor drops beneath your feet… scary but cool. Our kids loved trying surfing, it was unique and other than waiting 10 minutes between use it’s unlimited with the visit 2. That said, below is a short pros/cons list that may help if you think you will only visit one of these venues Epic Waters Pros 1.ğlowRider – if you have a kid over 48” tall then this attraction may make the decision for you. We visited Great Wolf Lodge over a summer holiday weekend so many things are hard to compare well – crowds over a holiday weekend at Epic Waters, how Great Wolf Lodge stacks up when outside pool area is closed, etc. Epic Waters vs Great Wolf Lodge One question that was on my mind before the visit is how would Epic Waters stack up vs Great Wolf Lodge. I will say that our experience would have been terrible if the crowds had been as crazy as some other reviewers reported – and I don’t know how to predict the crowds at the venue. Water Park Action: I think there was a good variety of water park options, some better and some worse than Great Wolf Lodge (more below on this) From other reviews, I was nervous that our visit would be terrible. Not uncomfortable but also not super comfortable, and the first ding in my list here. All other seats are fixed upright plastic seats. 8.Ĝomfort: I believe the only reclining seats in the venue are in the premium paid cabanas which also come with a TV. Seating: There were open seats and tables throughout our visit. It was 40 to 57 degrees F outside during our stay and inside was comfortable except for Arcade which was chilly in a wet bathing suit. 6.Ĝlimate: Didn’t think there was any risk of sun burn inside. My kids tried the FlowRider for the 1st time ever and the staff were patient and helpful. Staff: Staff were nice, attentive, and appeared to care about the kids. Not a bargain but not higher than other venues. Locker costs: Lockers were $6, $12, $14 I believe for the 3 sizes. Healthy options with salad and fruit cup offered. Food was reasonably priced - $4 pizza, $7 burger. 3.ğood: Nearly zero lines for food all day long. All clean with one exception noted in detailed review below. 1.Ĝrowds: It was not over crowded – we were there from 10:20a to 4:00p. Here are the cliff notes regarding our visit with our kids. And then of course, you go flying down into a long run out with a big splash at the end for all your friends to see what kind of hero you are,” Wampler said.I went to Epic Waters on Saturday 11/23, the weekend before Thanksgiving. And that means three times your body weight while you’re going through the loop. They go into a 360-degree horizontal loop, they’re going to be reaching speeds of upwards of 35 miles an hour, almost three G’s. And the very first thing that guest experiences is a 40-foot vertical launch drop. “It starts off seven stories tall, 70 feet. Inside DFW got the chance to check it out and catch up with Michael Wampler, Director of Sales and Marketing to learn all about it. Their all-new Locura slide will give you hair-raising fun, and it’s open now. How does a seven-stories tall, 40-foot first drop, 360-degree horizontal loop going at 35 mph and hitting three G’s sound? If you’re in, you’ll need to head to Epic Waters in Grand Prairie, and fast!
